The problem

You were told pain
was progress.

You walked into a gym, somebody loaded a bar, and nobody asked how your ankles move. You got sore, then you got hurt, then you got quiet about it. Or you never walked in at all, because everything you saw looked like it was built for people who already knew what they were doing.

I know that story from the inside. Early in my life in Los Angeles a trainer injured me. It cost me a movie role, my income, and my home — I slept in the back of a pickup truck.

“I didn't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else.”

A holistic approach
to functional fitness

Capability, not aesthetics

Progress is measured in what your Tuesday can handle: stairs, curbs, groceries, getting off the floor. Mirrors are a lagging indicator.

Joints get a plan

Ankles, hips, thoracic spine, shoulders, hands. Loaded at the end of range, gently, often. Frequency beats heroics.

Balance is a skill

Single leg, head turns, controlled step-downs, quick recoveries. Falling is the event that ends independence, so we train against it.

Founding clients

Be my next
success story

The online side of NCEP is new, and that is your advantage. The first people through this door get direct access to me, my phone number, and a coach who is personally invested in proving the method works on camera as well as it works in a live room.

Client results are coming soon — I'd rather show you real ones than made-up ones.

How it works

The real-life plan

  1. Free consult

Twenty minutes on the phone. You tell me what your week really looks like and what you want back. No pitch, no clipboard theatre.

  2. Assess before we load

Ankles, hips, ribcage, balance, grip. We find out what your body can absorb before a single weight touches it.

  3. Train the real week

Two strength sessions, daily mobility minutes, balance stitched into what you already do. It bends when life does.

  4. Certify, if that's the goal

Trainers who want to work in a gym get taught in our live rooms across the country. Same standards, no shortcuts.

Straight answers

The questions you
actually have

Am I too old to start?
No. Adaptation does not have an expiry date. The rate changes, the direction doesn't. I have started people in their sixties and seventies who now do things they had written off.
Is this safe for my joints?
Assessed, progressive loading is one of the better things you can do for a joint. Unassessed ego training is what wrecks joints — those are not the same activity, and only one of them happens here.
What if I have limitations?
Bring them. Limitations are information, not disqualifications. We train around them and into them, in that order, and we regress a movement the same day it bothers you.
I want to be a trainer, not just get in shape.
Then you're in the right place. NCEP certifies trainers and we still teach live events across the United States. Tell me on the consult which track you want.
